The GRACE Feed Our Kids summer lunch program provides lunches for children who live in predominantly lower-income housing locations.
Most of the children quality for free and reduced lunches during the school year. Summer lunches are provided daily by churches, businesses, friends, and civic organizations at 6 sites throughout Grapevine. In 2022 we closed up the final cooler at GRACE main location and served 100 lunches. In total, 30,331 lunches were served in 2022!
As in the past, this summer, the Southlake Rotary Club will be supporting Grace Feed Our Kids through its volunteer efforts August 11th at Grace Main St and on November 4th at the 2023 Grace Gala. One of our members, Alan Fisher, works for Texas Regional Bank. They have agreed to partner with us by sponsoring the project by providing Southlake RC with a $500 sponsorship and water bottles. The funds will be used to cover hotdogs, fruit, chips, juice boxes and a treats for 120 kids.

In addition to lunches, we opened a giant art studio for the kids! Poured Art is a painting method created by using acrylic paint to pour on a surface to create a flowing design. A few kids joined the fun and created 17 beautiful unique pieces of art for the silent auction at the GRACE Gala in November.

The poured art canvases brought in $2,400 to GRACE programs!
This summer, we will be doing the same thing on Friday August 11th at GRACE Main. We will be serving lunch and hosting an art studio to provide fun for the kids and artwork for the 2023 GRACE Gala that will be held on Saturday November 4th.
