Congratulations, Funmi!
Funmi was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Southlake Chamber of Commerce and the Southlake Foundation. In addition, she has also been recently appointed to Co-Chair the Ambassador Program for the Southlake Chamber.
Funmi Akintade Fadayomi was born in Washington DC, USA while her parents who are from Nigeria, West Africa, were pursuing their college education. They returned home to Africa when Funmi was 4 years old. She spent her early years there until she returned to the United States at the age of 17 to pursue her College Education. She attended The University of Maryland, College Park and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s degree in Administration. She met the love of her life after visiting her cousins in Texas and in 1997 she relocated to Texas.
After being laid off her job as an Oracle Developer in 2003, She started Applesoft Homecare Svc LLC, which is a Skilled Medical Agency for the Elderly. She ran this agency successfully till the year 2020 when she sold it. During this period, she noticed the need for a Non-Medical Agency because the patients of the Skilled agency would get better medically but would continue to need assistance with their Activities of Daily living such as bathing, cooking, grooming, med reminders and so on. So, she started a 2nd agency, Acclaim Homecare Svc., LLC in 2012 which she runs till this day.
Her Company, Acclaim Homecare Svc became a member of the Southlake Chamber of Commerce in 2022, at the recommendation of her next-door neighbor. Since then, she has earned several Ambassador of the month awards, Member of the month award, 2024 President’s Award, with the most recent recognition being the 2024 Ambassador of the Year.
Funmi was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Southlake Chamber of Commerce and the Southlake Foundation. In addition, she has also been recently appointed to Co-Chair the Ambassador Program for the Southlake Chamber.
Funmi and her family have been members of the RCCG Household of Faith church for over 25 years where she is currently a member of the Board of Trustees.
She is married to her husband, Olayele and they are blessed with 3 wonderful children, Anthony, 26, Michael, 24 and Faith, 22.
In her leisure time, she enjoys travelling, reading, attending celebrations and mentoring others.
